Thank you for your help in stopping the blatant power grab to put a jail in our residential community of Sheepshead Bay. I received a telephone call from Assemblywoman Weinstein’s office on the subject and I decided to check to make sure that all of our elected leaders regardless of party affiliation were listed. Since your name was not listed, I made sure that I commented on that omission and to give credit to you and your office as well for your help.

Hi Marty, For some reason, no matter how many times I have requested being placed on your email distribution list, I still don’t receive your emails. I am a Gerritsen Beach resident and getting updated information from you on all matters post Super Storm Sandy is important to me. I recently learned you had a Town Hall Meeting in Gerritsen Beach and I knew nothing about it. The sharing of information has become pretty skimpy down here. I would greatly appreciate receiving your emails….Thank you, Linda Rizzotto

    The Gallery Players

    199 14th St.

    Brooklyn, NY 11215

    January 9, 2016

We are excited to announce The Gallery Players will be hosting their first annual Raise the Curtain Fundraiser on Saturday,

May 21st, 2016! When The Gallery Players first began in 1967, it started with little more than a dream. Since then, it has

been built into a Brooklyn institution, and a place for artists to showcase their talents. Located in Park Slope, but beloved on

both sides of the Brooklyn Bridge, The Gallery Players is dedicated to producing classic and contemporary plays and

musicals as well as premiering new works.

This year as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, The Gallery Players need your help to preserve its continued place in the

Brooklyn community as a provider of professional-quality theatre at an affordable cost. It is our goal to raise $50,000 under

our 50 for 50 Campaign. Every dollar raised during this event will be put towards this major fundraising campaign to benefit

The Gallery Players and its patrons for the next 50 years. These benefits will include expanding programming and artist

development, capital improvements to our theatre space (including a much needed air conditioning upgrade), scholarships

for children to attend The Peanut Gallery summer musical theatre camp, and a greater commitment to community outreach

to benefit the Park Slope area.

To help us meet this goal, we are requesting your support in the form of a donation of goods or services. The Gallery

Players is a not-for-profit 501©3 organization, so every donation is tax-deductible. Your donation, together with

everything we solicit and receive, will be auctioned throughout the event. We would greatly appreciate anything you are

able to contribute. All companies making donations will be provided with a letter indicating the value of their gift and will

be honorably listed in our event program.

We hope that you will share your gratitude and support of our work by participating in this event, and help The Gallery

Players continue to instill the appreciation of theater in future generations in Brooklyn. If you have any questions, feel free

to contact our Fundraiser Co-Chair, Mary LaRosa by phone at 347-8041344, or by email

If you are able to help, please send any donations by April 30th, 2016 to the following address:

    The Gallery Players

Attn: Dominic Cuskern, Board of Directors President

As always, thank you for your consideration and generosity in support of The Gallery Players. We look forward to hearing

    from you soon.
